It’s your birthright to have a life free from headaches.

However much you do to keep yourself  healthy and well, headaches do happen. It’s good to remember that they are NOT an intrinsic part of your life. The headache may be created from stress, eating, drinking, drugs, environmental causes or possibly genetic tendencies.

You can ‘DISSOLVE’ the pain of many types of headache

I’m generaly not a headache prone person but yesterday I had a mild headache and dealt with it  in the same way as I’ve dealt with most of my headaches for the last 20+ yrs (with the addition of making sure I’m well hydrated i.e. drinking plenty of water).

Try this yourself.

Find a comfortable place where there are no distraction and then sit or lie down. Be as relaxed as you can.

Close your eyes and focus your attention on the centre of your headache. Be present to the physical discomfort caused by the headache. That means just FEEL the pain of your headache.

Take a full, gentle breath, in through your nose and out like a sigh, from the back of your throat. On the out breath release and relax in the whole of your body. This may highlight the discomfort of the headache…….stick with it!

As you maintain the gentle breathing, bring your focus back to the centre of the headache.

IMAGINE the headache is MELTING.  Keep your focus on MELTING the pain. MELTING and SOFTENING.

Allow the sensations to MELT down through your head into your body. Use you IMAGINING and your FOCUS to dissolve the pain.

Keep your body soft and your breathing gentle.

You may need to repeat this process a few times. But you can certainly reduce if not disappear your headaches.

I  ‘dissolved’ and ‘disappeared’ my headache yesterday in less than 10mins while I was sitting up in bed.

To your very best health

Michael
